Playing music can be great fun and very rewarding. Sadly, we’ve had many great families pass through our doors and give up too soon. They love our teachers and environment, but tire of what seems like the burden of practicing.
Boredom effects all of us as we struggle to grow in life and do healthy activities. It’s also easy to feel bored when we don’t have enough experience at something to be good at it, understand what we’re actually doing, or why it’s of value.
Working with a skilled and patient teacher on a weekly basis will keep the process moving forward at a pace the student can handle. Lesson material and practice strategies can be adjusted to fit a student's individual learning style and goals. Think of practice time as teaching the life skill of perseverance and "staying with it ".
